Erik Erikson was a researcher who devised a
psychosocial theory about personality development being the result of several stages of conflict throughout life.
Even though the conflicts take place in the ego, the conflicts also take place within culture and society itself.
According to Erikson, the resolution of the conflicts at each stage of development help form the personality and how the individual is socialized.
Fill out the chart according to the various stages. You may want to view the
eight conflicts here. Or here:

As you go through each of the stages 1-6 (you haven't gotten to 7 & 8 yet) describe a few things about how you resolved the conflict or how others around you acted to help you resolve the conflict.
